Ever since the first gathering in 1954, First Brethren has blessed its members and its community by its commitment to always speak the truth and act in love. So much in our world is changing but we seek and serve Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

We do not believe in a man-made religion. We base our beliefs and actions on God's word, the Bible. One slogan we have adhered to: The Bible, the whole Bible, and nothing but the Bible.

We strive to follow Jesus' teaching to love others. That means we believe that the church should be a loving family. It also means we treat even those outside our faith with love and respsect.

Each follower of Christ has his Spirit in him or her. Therefore, we are each a priesthood. Our decisions are made by consensus, not by a single leader or a small group.

All truth is God's truth. God's divine nature is seen in his creation and perfectly described in the Bible. We always seek to speak the truth in love.
